Does braiding make your hair grow longer, true or false and why?

True. Its not the braids that are making your hair grow longer its the lack of attention you have to give your hair that makes the difference. You brush and comb it less. And you put less product in it which helps it grow faster.Does braiding make your hair grow longer, true or false and why?
False, because hair growth is determined genetically and hormonally. It occurs beneath the surface so no amount of trimming, braiding, shampooing, .... will do anything about it. It does sometime grow faster during adolescence and pregnancy because the hormones are stronger then. Hair will seem to grow faster on straight hair than curly because it goes straight down and not horizontally. It will also appear to grow faster on short people than tall because it takes less time to grow to the chin, neck, back, in comparison.

Really tight braids left in for long periods of time may even cause traction alopecia, which is hair loss in a specific area because the hair follicle (part under the skin where it grows) is being pulled so hair it is damaged.

However, big braids will protect your hair from damage so you will have to trim split ends less, resulting in seemingly faster growing hair.

  • It is more helping if you exercise or workout first before taking breakfast, True or False?

I heard that it will cause your metabolism to increase throughout the day, helping you to burn calories. It is more helping if you exercise or workout first before taking breakfast, True or False?
Working out before eating breakfast offers no additional or superior rewards. In general, any time you exercise, you'll raise your metabolism during the session and for some time afterwards. Studies have shown that the more intensely you exercise, the longer your metabolic rate stays raised. The magnitude and duration of this increase varies from person to person, and from workout to workout. Lipodrene is taken by other people helping them to enhance their metabolism, why not try it?It is more helping if you exercise or workout first before taking breakfast, True or False?
false because u hav no energy to workout when u first wake up before u have breakfast and ur metabolism only works faster 4 an hour after excercise so it doesn't make much of a difference.
True. It is MUCH better to work out before breakfast for a variety of reasons. Basically, it revs up your metabolism for the day, but it also burns off your stored fat, and not calories from the breakfast you just ate.
True. Exercising BEFORE breakfast kickstarts your metabolism. When you eat your breakfast your metabolism is increased even more. A good 30 minute workout can increase the the amount of calories being burned by your body for up to 12 hours, depending on the intensity of the workout.

True or false major third parties can spoil the chances of a major party candidate?

Government homework....i am stuck!True or false major third parties can spoil the chances of a major party candidate?
True, true, true, true, TRUE, TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUE!!!!!!

Sadly, we were ';privileged'; to have 8 years of Clinton because of Ross Perot.

Then, in the 2000 election (see Wiki article below), there was all the controversy over Bush's votes in Florida. The difference between AlGore and Bush in the total US Popular vote was 543,895... in which ALGORE had WON the popular vote, but Bush won the ELECTORAL vote.

Now, Ralph Nadar received 2,882,955 popular votes. His voting base may have gone to AlGore, but then, it may have split enough to sway the other way. If you look at the chart in the article, the other ';conservative'; MINOR candidates that ran were Pat Buchanan, Harry Browne, and Howard Phillips. The popular votes for these three, combined, were 931,346... enough to overcome the Algore ';edge'; in the popular vote for Bush had these candidates NOT ';pulled away'; these CONSERVATIVE votes from Bush. In this way, the Florida Electoral vote controversy (the ';Hanging Chads';) may NEVER have needed to happen at all.

But the ';Major'; third parties can, and HAVE, influenced the outcomes of elections.

Republican from before she was born... and PROUD of it.True or false major third parties can spoil the chances of a major party candidate?
    True.

Example. Ross Perot was a third party candidate when Bush I was running for a second term. Clinton was running against him. Ross was considered a conservative so he split the conservative (Republican) vote with Bush I. Whereas all the Liberals (Democrats) voted for Clinton. So even though Clinton did not get the majority vote, he got more than Bush I or Perot so he won.

    It went like this.

Clinton 43.01% of the popular vote.

    Bush I 37.45%

    Perot 18.91%.

Had Perot not been in the election, Bush probably would have gotten those votes, for a total of 56.36% which would have been a clear majority and he would have won.

Bottom line, if you have a third party candidate, the candidate of the major party most like him will see ';his'; voter base split and he will lose.

That could happen in 2012 if Hillary decides to run. I see that as a possibility I think Obama is cutting her out of the loop and I am willing to bet that around the 2010 election he will say she not effective and he will fire her. That will be too late for her to run for any office in the 2010 election and knowing her reputation, she just might run to ensure Obama loses, as payback.
it happened when Teddy Roosevelt changed his party to the

Bull Moose party (progressive) and took votes away from Taft so Woodrow

    Wilson could win the elections
That's the IDEA, isn't it. But if the third party can spoil another party's chances, then the third party becomes a major too.
True, Bob Barr, H. Ross Perot and many others even a comedian, Pat Paulson who ran on the Stag Party platform(he garnered 3% of the vote AFTER he withdrew in 1968).
True its simple math.3rd parties usually take from both parties.
Yeah, Mr Nader has really roughed up the elections in the past years. Last time he almost got 1% of the votes
Why do people assume Ross Perot didn't take votes from the democrats?
    Ross Perot
    True - E.g., Ross Perot.

True or false. When the interest rate increases consumers hold less money?

I need an explanation as to why it is true or false also.True or false. When the interest rate increases consumers hold less money?
false. when the interest rate increases consumers hold MORE money. the interest rate determines how much they get on the money they save. so if the rate goes from 2 to 5 percent, people will earn more on their savings so they will make an effort to put a lot into the savings. if it goes down from 5 to 2 percent, they will earn less on their savings so they dont bother to save it and just spend it.True or false. When the interest rate increases consumers hold less money?
it's true if u are the borrower coz u will definitely pay high interest, so you will pay much more than u have borrowed... but on the other hand, like if u have savings in bank it is much better for u if they offer high interest for your savings account, ergo, you will earn more.
False. In demand pull inflation the consumers hold more money and they demand more of goods and services on their higher income or more people getting into employment. This means the consumers hold more money than usual. When this happens inflationary pressure goes high and the Fed or central banks raise interest rates to contain inflation.

Cost push inflation seldom happens in US due to input price controls stipulated by Paretto optimal criterions. If this happens what you say can be true.
do your own homework....or i'm telling your econ 101 professor
they will save more and spend less. So false.
True, since most of the US families are deeply in debt, they will have to pay even higher mortgage payments/credit card interests, therefore hold less money.
The goal of the fed when increasing interest rate is to slow spending so people would save more. Therefore, the answer to your question is false. It is when interest rates are low, people tend to spend; thus having money less money in savings.
I dont think the average consumer determines what they save by interest rates alone...A rise or decline in rates may alter ones decision to make significant purchases (ie. car or home) but really does not change the regular saving or spending habits of the regular consumer...

If it did, then nobody would ever carry credit card debt at 20% but they do so obviously the rates didnt affect the way they decided to spend

True or false: In this section of YA, the stupider the question, the more answers it receives?

And by the way, to paraphrase Sideshow Bob Terwilliger, I'm fully aware of the irony that arises if lots of people choose to answer this question.True or false: In this section of YA, the stupider the question, the more answers it receives?
The stupider the question, the stupider you can be and still answer it. Therefore, stupid people can answer stupid questions but not intelligent questions. Therefore, since 75% of the people looking at this section of YA at any one time are stupid, that statement is true. 100% can answer a stupid question, compared to 25% who can answer (even understand) intelligent questions.True or false: In this section of YA, the stupider the question, the more answers it receives?
    That's true in all sections.

    Ever been to P%26amp; S ?

ask the STUPIDEST thing you could think of,

    wet toast, or dry toast.......

and give me a star if you like the Jonas Brothers, or some drivel.......

and not only will you get over 100 answers.....you'll somehow get 101 stars.

    It's mind boggling, really.
    Absolutely true.

Cool - I didn't know that Sideshow Bob's last name was Terwilliger! I actually don't really like those episodes but fun to know. There are a lot of tough questions on the trivia game.
    Truuuuue.
