Capitalism thrives on any kind of spending.True or false: Bush's two wars, and record military spending has brought us temporary peace and prosperity.
True and False.
There certainly is some form of ';prosperity'; extant due to the massive U.S. tax dollars being spent in Iraq on reconstruction and domestically on defense spending. But, how is this good when you consider the fact that children today will spend the rest of their lives paying for this ';prosperity?';
As for peace, remember, the U.S. WAS at peace prior to and after 09/11/01. Remember? The attacks on that date were not perpetrated by a nation, but rather, by criminals. The U.S. had the world at their feet after the attacks and we chose to squander that good will and destroy and subsequently occupy Iraq so the Bush administration could line their cronies pockets with trillions of U.S. tax dollars.
Had the U.S. not captured and tried and executed Saddam Hussein, the U.S. would be no more at risk. Usama bin Laden is still at large. Remember him?
Since GW Bush took control, Russia, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, and even China to some degree have all gotten into instances of saber rattling with the U.S. which has resulted in heightened states of defense posture in regard to missiles and nuclear power.
I feel so very LESS safe than I felt before Bush began his illegal occupation of Iraq.True or false: Bush's two wars, and record military spending has brought us temporary peace and prosperity.
I'll have some of whatever it is you're smoking...
False. Plus, the country is more divided than ever. He has done nothing good that I can see.
FALSE!!!
Thanks now I have to buy a new laptop cos I just spit water out my nose while trying to even fathom truth to this statement.
By all means , FALSE
It is still to soon to tell, I like Bush, but economic and foreign policies can take years at times to fully develop.
False.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
False. Well, the dead are certainly peaceful but other than that, false.
if there was peace wouldnt the soldiers be home? just a question.....
Peace... prosperity... hahaha, that's a good one.
trick question: there are 3 wars, and the one most important for him to face is not with fellow-Americans, Al-Quaeda, or others, but the one he has to battle against himself;
Personally, it's easy to criticize, our top-leader(for it can be a lonely-place);
......................................鈥?br>
Remember peace in spite of and thru conflict, not just the absence of right? Yet please, pretty please allow the means to justify the ends and vice-versa...

Personally, I'm pulling for him: ';.....With all due respect Sir, I think this will be our greatest hour!'; - Ed Harris ???? -
True we haven't been bombed yet, but False, this is not record spending if you adjust for years and time and wages, WW2 is still the highest cost in spending.
Now as for prosperity, I hear we are at 4.7 unemployment, housing starts are down, and condo and apt. are up 29% the stock market is up and the dow is too. I think we are doing to well and we are in for a fall.
FALSE! We have neither peace or prosperity
And just wait until we get the bill for those two wars!!
Don't forget the housing build on subprime rates propping up the economy.
False. We need to have more deficit spending to spread this war to Iran.
Boring leftist pablum
True
what are you talking about
how superphical
capilist crap
where you live might be good
go and live in irac afganistan palistine see how prosprese and thriving it is there go and live any african country
and see what a good democratic capitlist system people live under
There's no ';peace';. How can you say that?
The prosperity is debt-supported.
The average American spends $20 for every $19 he makes.
The average American family' credit card(s) balance is $9400.
The war in Iraq is unpaid for at the moment, with a debt exceeding $600 billion dollars and soon to hit $1 Trillion in the next round of spending.
There are currently 100 small wars raging around the world today.
Halliburton has been paid $20 billion dollars thus far through subsidiary KBR.
So some people are prospering---just not you and me.
Tralse.
False
no it has not brought peace the irag war is being sustained for money
Depends on what aspect you're looking at it from. Have we really has more peace? Or is that compared to the 9/11 frenzy? Or are you comparing to other past occurences.
As for prosperity, you also need to look at export v. import.
False.
False.
that would have been a great joke except I didnt laugh...who cares about the money when you have good brave people dying right this very second over in the ';war'; right now. I dont consider this a war though, not when there is only one side fighting it. They are on the offensive attack constantly and we are in a role as peace keepers... its ridiculous, either let ourboys not only defend themselves but FINISH this war or just bring them the hell back
Can't be sure..The Democrat led congress , last week, just authorized continued spending for the war..We'll have to wait and see.. I do know that the war is bringing civilization to Iraq..some time ago, I saw a UPI photo of a bomb crater..with yellow caution tape around it..progress is being make..the attorneys are soon to follow.
You seem to be under the illusion that ';peace'; is defined by the absence of conflict.
just where is the prosperity....i cant find it.....and ';Peace'; tell that to the families of the service people getting killed every day......i don't know what you have been drinking but I say FALSE
False. Exactly how do fighting wars bring you peace and prosperity. Maybe after the wars, but were still fighting them and winning.
