But those games were wasted with their inability to pull the trigger under pressure... That was the difference with Jordan in therte that is why after one full season of retuning he once again guided them to the Finals and actually won. Making Phil Jackson smile on his fourth title as a coach.
Even if you put the play-off wins in there the total for that Bulls team of 1993-94 would be only 60 wins as opposed to the championship winning 1992-93 Chicago Bulls with Jordan who won 72 games... a 12 win difference all-in-all, and those wins are the difference of champions.
Hope this helps.True or False: The Bulls could still win 55+ games without Michael Jordan in the 1990's?
I don't think you get what I said ... I said if Jordan had not been part of that organization, he would not have been able to take Pippen, Armstrong and Grant under his wing and make them better players ... they had their best years without Michael because there was slack that needed to be picked up

True or False: The Bulls could still win 55+ games without Michael Jordan in the 1990's?
True. The Jordan Rules book quotes Pippen as implying that you could substitute Jordan with any other consistent outside shooter and they could win. Maybe not win a championship but they would definitely win 55+ games.
HEck, they won 55 games with Pete Myers replacing Jordan.
I sincerely doubt that they could win a championship without him, though.
By 55+ you're basically marking the Bulls as a near 60 win team without Michael Jordan ... that's a bit of a stretch, but I feel like you're testing the fans of the 90's NBA because in 1993-94, the year after Jordan first left the Bulls, Chicago won exactly 55 games .. the following year, the year Jordan returned in March, the Bulls won 47 games ...
the Bulls could've been a 50 win team without him, but Jordan made that team into what they were ... he made a superstar out of Scottie Pippen and made role players like Horace Grant, B.J. Armstrong and Toni Kukoc all-star worthy ... Jordan was the best at getting the most from his teammates' potential ... so yes, the Bulls would be a good team without Jordan playing for them, but if Michael had just never been a part of the Bulls organization, the players he had around him wouldn't be nearly as good as they turned out to be
If you're looking to justify the Bulls' greatness beyond the likes of Jordan, I'd look at Phil Jackson ... I hate him (I was a Knicks fan) but he's a phenomenal coach ... but if you're saying the Bulls would still be relevant in NBA lore in the 1990's without the drafting and seasoning of M.J., you're missing out on a lot of what Jordan meant to Chicago ... his impact on that team went so far beyond his statistics ... in fact, I feel privileged to have watched him play ... there will never be another Michael Jordan
But did they win a championship? Your boy Alpha Wolf was on here a couple of weeks ago reminding us how the regular season is completely meaninlgess (rationalizing the Lakers' back to back losses). He was actually partially right. The regular season is important, but the true value of a player is demonstrated in the postseason. Ultimately, the Bulls couldn't get it done w/o Jordan.
EDIT: You're right dude. I should take a good hard look at myself, and my Jordan jocker ways. I guess I could always spend my time trying to convince people MJ sucks. What do you call a person who does that?
But didn't make it pasted the 2nd Rd....lol

Anyways it's false. They never won 55+ games w/o Jordan...

To FM,
he came back the last 17 games of the season. He was out of shape, rusty, played with teammates he's never played with, %26amp; him coming back caused the entire team to change their role on the team. Getting to the 2nd Rd is good if you consider all of that........but when he came back and played a FULL SEASON look what happened,
A SECOND 3-PEAT!
True
TRUE

No. MJ did most of it.
