yes he made us from mans rib. The man is the head of the household but he is also the protector of the family. It also states clearly that the man is to respect the woman.

God created men and women and gave us a life of free will. Society played out the gender roles. Men were dominant because of the strength that it took to hunt and kill, build, and survive. As the world has become a modernized and softer place the playing field is leveling out... women no longer need a man to kill a buffalo, build a dwelling, or to serve as a protector. Women have the intellectual and financial clout to provide for themselves... Who knows how much longer this evolution will take but the road to equality is being paved right now. At some point you might just get your rib back.

Women were created to be companions and mates with men. Why would God create some creature that would be inferior?





Also, God created women will free will, the knowledge to learn, to give children, and to give and be loved by men.





The notion that women are inferrior or ';unequal'; I believe is out of context. Okay God says Eve is the ';help mate'; but, when you look at what abilites God gave Eve and all women they're so much more. We're given equal abilites and strenghts and rights and punishments.





So...that's my take on it.
