Took some pix (2) last week; reviewed them while in camera. Removed card to place in PC to email but pix were not there. Put card back in camera to see if I could view new pix. Not only were they not there but neither were the more than 75 others. While in camera; intructions said card needs to be formatted. I had no choice but to do so. A friend said it was a result of removing card while power was on. Not 100% sure if power was on or not !True or false; removing picture card from digital camera while power is on will corrupt card.?
Formatting your memory card was a big mistake because it deletes everything from the card.
In order to try and recover your images, you will now need to use recovery software and a card reader.
The link below has a very good FREE recovery program for you to try...
In future make sure you always Format any brand new card before you use it...and also format it again everytime AFTER you have uploaded all images to your computer. Formatting the card is a better method that selecting 'Delete All' images.
Regularly formatting your memory card in this way, will help prevent card errors, which is what I think may have occurred because you didn't make a habit of formatting your card after every upload.
good luck...
